My Life in February ’18 – A Recap and An Announcement

Well, hello guys. I, once again, was missing from the blogsphere for the entire February. Life has started to climb its ‘hectic’ peak very much in February as there are a few ‘life changing’ decisions have been made. These ‘life changing’ decisions lead to happy news because Clarence and I are finally getting engagement ready!

Engagement.. “Why so soon?”

Clarence and I started dating and became official last June. The date of the engagement has been set on 12th May 2018, less than a year of us being in a relationship. ‘Are we in a rush?‘, ‘Did something happened?’ or ‘Isn’t it too soon?’ These questions may linger in your head and I understand that. I would definitely have the same questions too. But to us, it has reached the right time for us to bring our relationship to a greater height. We won’t be able to do it without the blessings from both of our parents, his family and mine. Clarence has met my parents and my family accepted him so quick. My siblings and him are like buddies, even tag-team to make fun and annoy me. I have met his family as well and they accepted me good too. Clarence’s nieces and nephews are adorable!

How did it went?

There was no huge, dramatic proposal (oh thank goodness NO!) nor even him asking me the question. It’s just kind of happened! We have planned for both of our parents to meet and just to get to know each other on Chinese New Year holiday. Little did we know what Clarence’s parents have on their mind and he actually asked the question for Clarence. He didn’t really ask directly but he really showed his intention on getting things on between Clarence and I. My dad decided to another date to have a proper and formal meeting to discuss and BOOM, all things are set together with the date.

To everybody’s surprise, my dad actually know Clarence’s parents as they were neighbours when my dad was studying in Beaufort during his high school years. So my dad and his parents ‘clicked’ right away! Clarence and I both are so ecstatic that our parents get along really well.

I am excited for this new chapter, new journey that I’m about to be on board with Clarence. The water will definitely get a little choppy after this, but as long as I’m with him, I’ll make it through. I am so very grateful to God on how smooth things are. From the moment we met, to our courtship and now this. It has been a very smooth sailing. My mom always told me that when you have met the right person, everything will be easy for you and your partner to get through. And I sincerely feel that Clarence is the one for me.

I might be busy preparing everything prior to the engagement but I will still try my best to post blog updates.
